Popularly known as Kambu Rava in Tamil, Pearl millet is most commonly used millet rava in India. Kambu Rava, has more than 8 times iron content when compared to rice. Pearl millet rava is easily digestible and has high fibre and protein content. Kambu rava is a galactagogue and plays an important role in lactation, a process which increases milk secretion for feeding mothers.
